Lifelong Learning – Understand Opportunities and Benefits in Newham

This session will provide information and inspiration for anyone who would like to understand the benefits of lifelong learning and confidently signpost others (or themselves) to opportunities. We will cover all levels of learning, from free, online courses to longer term and formal. It will be delivered by 2 facilitators who work in community outreach and understand the challenges many people face in Newham. We aim for you to leave feeling able to recommend various learning activities for people under your care, or feel inspired yourself!

Overview:

• Wellbeing and confidence benefits of learning
• Mythbusting common concerns for adult learners and FAQs
• Recommended signposting to events and courses for different levels
• Overview of opportunities for specialist needs e.g. ESOL
• Discussion from group to understand priorities and ask questions.

We will also be available to discuss individual cases on a 121 basis at a later date.
