Why does sexual health matter?
When we say sexual health, we are talking about healthy, safe, consensual (link to consent page) and enjoyable sexual experiences, free from discrimination and violence.
Sexual health is about learning about yourself and your body and finding out about your sexual needs. This applies to everyone, no matter your sexuality or gender.
For many people, talking about sexual health can be embarrassing or feel shameful. It’s really important to learn as much as you can about how to have safe sex and how to look after yourself and others as you explore your sexuality.

All East Integrated Sexual Health Clinics
We provide free and confidential sexual health services at our centres across east London, providing everything from sexual health screenings (including HIV testing) to contraception services.
SHINE Young People’s Sexual Health Services
Shine offer clinic sessions for young people aged 21 and under. Clinics are discreet, confidential and services are completely free. All sessions are walk-in and wait only, so there is no need to book an appointment in advance. Clinics are open after school and college, to ensure that they are as accessible as possible for young people.
Sexual Health London
SHL.UK is a discreet sexual health service for Londoners. Our STI testing service is for people who have mild or no STI symptoms, and would like to get themselves checked. You can also request free regular and emergency contraception (effective up to 5 days after unprotected sex) by completing a simple, secure online consultation.

If you live in London and are between 16 and 24 years old you can order a FREE NHS Home Chlamydia Test; just go to Order a Test Kit and get tested for chlamydia. You can also find your nearest place to get treatment.
