Join us for an evening with Jack Parlett. Jack, is a writer, poet and scholar specialising in queer history, literature and popular culture.

He is the author of three books, including The Poetics of Cruising: Queer Visual Culture from Whitman to Grindr, an academic monograph, and Same Blue, Different You, a poetry pamphlet. His book Fire Island: A Queer History was published by Granta in 2022, and named an Editor’s Pick by the New York Times and one of the ‘Best Books of 2022’ by the New Yorker.

His writing has appeared in the New Yorker, Boston Review, Granta, Literary Hub, BBC Culture, Poetry London and elsewhere. He is now working on a new non-fiction about flamboyance.
