Community Hair Art Project - Hair Diversity, one brushstroke at a time

Hair discrimination is a topic that has gained attention in schools and workplaces. In an effort to address this issue, Nurture Academy organized a 'Community Hair Art Project' over the summer. The project aimed to allow young Black and Ethnic minority individuals to express their experiences through canvas drawings and write-ups. By showcasing the talents of these young people, the event hopes to shift perspectives and have a positive impact on those facing discrimination.

The artwork created by these young individuals will be available for purchase, with a percentage of the proceeds going back to the young artists. There will also be food available for each ticket holder.
