- What is mental health?
- How everyone struggles with their thoughts and feelings sometimes – it’s perfectly normal.
- Ways we can look after our mental health (including things such as talking to a trusted person, exercise, nutrition, spending time in nature , friendships and kindness).
- The science of kindness and the role kindness / self-kindness can play in improving our mental health.
- The theme of Children’s Mental Health Week – ‘Your Voice Matters’ (linked to article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child).
- Concluding with a quick quiz/recap.
- You will also receive a printable activity sheet for children to use after the assembly. This will be sent to you a week prior to the assembly.
