AskSARA is our new online guided advice tool that is here to help residents find useful information about products to make daily living activities easier.
The platform will provide residents with impartial advice about suitable equipment and assistive technology solutions to help residents of all ages to live independently and maintain their lifestyle.
How does AskSARA work?
AskSARA is simple and easy to use and has a ‘quick and easy’ 3-step self–assessment process.
- Step 1 - Choose a TOPIC you would like help with
- Step 2 - ANSWER some simple questions about yourself and your environment
- Step 3 - Get your PERSONALISED report with ideas and tips about ways to make your life easier and details of products that might help, where to buy them and contacts for more advice and support if needed.
How will the platform help you?
The platform will help you:
- Get advice on daily living activities without the need for a formal assessment
- Make informed choices based on your needs
- Find what you are looking for
When should you use AskSARA?
You should use AskSARA if:
- You think you need a referral to Occupational Therapy
- You think you may need equipment or assistive technology to carry out everyday tasks, such as:
- getting in and out of the bath
- on / off their toilet or arm chair
- opening jars and bottles
- putting on socks/ shoes
- washing their hair or feet etc.
- You are able to or someone you know is able to assemble /adjust /install /demonstrate how to use equipment (if delivered to your home).
When should you not use AskSARA?
If you already have equipment that needs replacing or repairing, you should contact Enabled Living to organise your repair/replacement.

What if someone doesn't have internet access?
If you do not have access to the internet, device or you would like some help to use AskSara, please contact our Access to Adults Social Care Team on 020 8430 2000 (please select option 2). Text phone: 18001 020 8430 2000.
The Access to Adults Social Care Team will have a short conversation with you to get a better understanding of your needs and signpost you to the Enabled Living Lounge (at the Resource Centre), where you will be able to access the AskSARA or assisted with the self-assessment process (if required).
